Over the past 14 years, the Maui Film Festival has grown from an event with less than 2,500 attendees to one that constantly attracts 20,000+ savvy cineastes, just plain lovers of great films and those drawn to intelligent cinema and conversation enjoyed at the intersection of 'smart and heart'.


In addition to the quality of each year's 60+ Films, Filmmaker Panels, Festival Tributes and Intimate conversations, special note has also often been made of the Festival's 'Ambiance' and several of its 'theaters' — the 2,500+ capacity open air Celestial Cinema and 500+ capacity toes-in-the-sand Seaside Cinema (among others) and  pecial Events — who enjoy each year’s Taste of Wailea and 350+ chocoholics to leviate at the Four Seasons Resort Maui hosted Taste of Chocolate. Plus the thousands of attendees who enjoy each year’s Celestial Cinema  Big Screen’ Tributes.
