For more than thirty years we’ve distributed fuels and lubricants in Hawaii. Our main office is located in Kahului, Maui, and our organization includes Maui Oil Company, Lanai Oil Company and Big Island Energy Company. As the largest, local family-owned petroleum marketer in Hawaii, we provide petroleum products and related services across the entire Aloha State, as well as Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands. Maui Oil Company was first launched by Alex McBarnet Senior in 1982, growing to become the largest Maui-owned distributor of fuel and lubricants on the Valley Isle. The company extended service to Lanai in 1986 as Lanai Oil Company and to Hawaii Island in 2009 as Big Island Energy. By 2013, our company had extended its area of operations to include Kauai and Molokai. We also operate Maui Express Car Wash in Kahului, Maui. As our operations evolve, we continue to grow throughout the Pacific, always with a commitment to being good community partners and offering unparalleled petroleum products and services.
