The Mechanical Contractors Association of Iowa is a trade organization serving mechanical contractors within the construction industry in Iowa. It was founded in 1965 by ten contractors to facilitate collective bargaining, renamed in 1967, and soon affiliated with the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. The group now comprises more than 35 contractor members and over 50 associate and affiliate members, organized into four chapters across the state. Its services have broadened beyond bargaining to include safety, government affairs, education, and fellowship. The organization is based in Urbandale, in central Iowa, and is recognized as a leader in both mechanical and commercial construction. With a long history and regional structure, it supports the industry through member-focused programs and coordinated activities across its chapters.
