When conceptualizing Meinhardt, Linda Meinhardt's intent was to create an unparalleled food emporium similar but superior to concepts in New York, London, and other major cities around the world.

In 1996, Linda procured the current high-traffic Granville Street location for her venture. She then turned her focus to sourcing the very best products from around the world.

After years of perfecting the Meinhardt concept, Linda sold the business to Buy-Low Foods LP who are committed to continuing and expanding on the vision created by Linda. Linda remains a friend and advisor to the business and her son, Michael, continues on as the General Manager and leader of the brand.
