Melrose and Morgan Limited is an award winning food company providing quality produce to their North London customer base. Established in 2004 by Ian James and Nick Selby, it has grown into a retailer, cafe and wholesaler well known now for innovative high end food. There are two shops in Primrose Hill and Hampstead, London, selling a mix of own brand and carefully curated other brands making up a premium offer for daily eating and drinking as well as a range of seasonal lines. Over 70% of what they sell is bought from within a 6 mile radius of their shops with a large proportion made by their own team in their Chalk Farm kitchens. The range is chosen by its taste first which is of utmost importance to the team as they believe you can taste when something is made with the best ingredients in an old fashioned way. These are the principles they work to and they are the same that they seek in their suppliers. Carefully curated, the overall range is unique, innovative, exciting and well designed. It is this combination that makes Melrose and Morgan stand apart from the average high street and continue to win accolades from many places. The brand look and feel was created by Studio Frith and has been a significant part of the unique offering with a bold graphic approach and unique design to their shops, packaging and displays. More recently the team have offered their goods into the wholesale market selling a select amount of their top sellers to other food outlets and also making seasonal items for other retailers such as Selfridges and Albion. The team remains relatively small for the amount that they achieve but it is a close knit group of passionate people who genuinely care about the industry, the quality of food on offer and desire to make a real difference in the food retail world that they operate.
