Menomonee Valley Partners, Inc. acts as the lead agency for the redevelopment of Milwaukee's Menomonee Valley, coordinating economic development and environmental improvement initiatives within the civic and social sector. Founded in 1999, it has overseen the transformation of 300 acres of brownfields, with 52 companies relocating or expanding there and more than 5,000 family-supporting jobs created. The effort has yielded more than one million square feet of green buildings, seven miles of trails, and 45 acres of native plantings supporting wildlife habitat and water quality. The valley attracts ten million visitors annually to its destinations. The organization is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and operates as a small nonprofit with a focused local scope. In October 2022, Paul Jones, vice president for university relations and general counsel at Marquette University, was appointed to the board of directors.
