Mercachem is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in Nijmegen, Gelderland, the Netherlands, operating within the small-molecule contract research and development sector. As part of MercachemSyncom, it provides chemistry services across discovery chemistry, medicinal chemistry, parallel chemistry, process research and development, and API development, enabling projects to progress from early discovery to late production within a single organization. The firm emphasizes client ownership of all intellectual property generated during projects and positions itself as a transparent, service-oriented partner that aims to preserve critical project knowledge throughout the process. Serving the drug discovery and development market, Mercachem focuses on delivering high-quality chemistry solutions for clients seeking small-molecule capabilities, with a structure that supports continuity across the project lifecycle. A notable recent development is the acquisition of Admescope Ltd., announced in November 2020, which expanded the organization’s geographic and service footprint outside its core operations.
