MRSI is a private, non-profit agency that has over thirty-five years of empowering individuals with cognitive disabilities. MRSI has over eighty employees in the Auglaize, Darke, Mercer and Van Wert area. We are a locally based agency with offices in Mercer and Van Wert Counties. Our business plan dictates that we will remain a regional service provider. This ensures that our agency will remain large enough to serve you ~ small enough to know you. Mercer Residential Services offers the following core services: Adult Day Support As an alternative to traditional day programs, MRSI’s adult day support is offered in small group settings, catering to the distinct interests of participants, encouraging a personal approach, and enabling a focus on learning and using new skills and knowledge. We offer distinct programs and locations for participants to choose from the Healthy Fit Club, Getting Out. Community Support Services Our Community support services provide all necessary support, which empower individuals to live in their own homes. MRSI offers qualified and well-trained staff that is matched to the individual. All staff receives extensive training in self-determination, positive culture, and First Aid, and delegated nursing procedures. A registered nurse is on-call 24 hours a day. Community Support Coordinators are available 24 hours a day. MRSI have staff who are proficient in sign language and who are trained in the use of various adaptive equipment. Licensed Group Homes We own and operate an eight-bed group home in Celina, the Wayne Street Home. We manage the Thomas Edison Group Home, also an eight-bed home located in Van Wert. These homes provide 24 hour staffing 7 days a week. We provide Person Centered supports and believe in the power of self-determination. Mental Health Housing MRSI is the designated housing agency for the Mercer, Van Wert, and Paulding Counties Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board.
