Mercy High School is a faith-based, Catholic diocesan college-preparatory school for young women in grades 9 through 12, located in Middletown, Connecticut. The institution provides a rigorous academic program designed to prepare students for college while supporting personal growth across academic, emotional, social, aesthetic, and spiritual dimensions. Approximately 500 students attend Mercy, and last year's graduates earned $8.2 million in scholarships. The school is situated in the Middletown area, roughly between Boston and New York City. Starting in fall 2018, Mercy has offered the College Board AP Capstone Diploma Program, which emphasizes college-level independent research, collaborative teamwork, and advanced writing and communication skills. All students work with a school counselor from enrollment onward to support the college application process. In 2023 Mercy celebrated its 60th anniversary, reflecting its long-standing presence in the community. In January 2025 Mercy High School Corporation was recognized with the College Board's AP Computer Science Female Diversity Award.
