Merry Meals is a charitable organization focused on feeding families in Northwest Indiana, particularly aiming to provide Christmas dinners for households that might not otherwise have a holiday meal. Its work relies entirely on donations from its members and from local community businesses, reflecting a community-driven effort to address food insecurity during the holiday season. Based in Chesterton, Indiana, the organization has grown from its initial year, when it provided seven meals, to serving hundreds of families through expansions supported by community engagement and partnerships such as with the Duneland Family YMCA. Operating within the civic and social sector, Merry Meals serves a regional market of families in need, using volunteer resources and donated foods to deliver holiday meals. The organization is small in scale and relies on local participation to sustain its mission during the December season. A recent development cited is its continued collaboration with local partners to expand its reach in the region.
