The Messenger Public Library informs, connects, and enriches the community of North Aurora. The Library is a member of the RAILS Library System and participates in the SWAN consortium of libraries. Emeline Messenger was instrumental in constructing and opening the library as part of the Works Progress Administration in 1937. In recognition of Mrs. Messenger's nearly 50 years of service to the library, the board of trustees voted to re-name the library the “Messenger Public Library of North Aurora” in 1985.
