The Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) is a not-for-profit federation formed by the powder metallurgy industry to advance the interests of metal powder producers and users. It comprises six trade associations that address different aspects of powder metallurgy, metal powders, or particulate materials: PMPA, MPPA, PMEA, MIMA, RMA, and AMAM. The organization provides member companies with services that support the development and application of powder metallurgy while promoting its benefits to prospective end users. Based in Princeton, New Jersey, MPIF operates with a relatively small staff. MPIF offers a range of practical resources for stakeholders, including a directory of MPIF-member fabricators and suppliers, a broad collection of powder metallurgy publications, and a digital library housing thousands of technical manuscripts dating back to 1946 that can be downloaded individually. In 2025 MPIF announced the release of MPIF Standard 35-AM Materials Standards for Metal Additive Manufactured Parts - 2025 Edition.
