Believe it or not, the "CD" in Metro CD Engineering is an abbreviation of "Chow Dog."  While a student at Ohio Northern University, Michael Chow picked up the nickname "Chow Dog" and it seemed more creative than simply "Chow Engineering".  Who says engineers don't have a sense of humor?
