MECA is a nonprofit organization that builds, operates, and manages public venues in Omaha. Founded in 2000, it has led major public-private projects intended to spur economic activity and strengthen community life. Its portfolio includes CHI Health Center Omaha, opened in 2003, and The RiverFront, a 72-acre downtown park completed in 2023 that now draws nearly a million visitors each year.
