The Mexic-Arte Museum is a cultural institution in downtown Austin that centers on Mexican, Latino, and Latin American art and culture, offering exhibitions, education programs, and a collection for study, preservation, and interpretation. It was founded in 1984 by artists Sylvia Orozco, Sam Coronado, and Pio Pulido, with roots in the 1983 Day of the Dead festival, and moved to its current location in downtown Austin on Congress Avenue in 1988. In 2024, Mexic-Arte Museum formed a partnership with Downtown Austin Alliance to collaborate around Republic Square Park.
