Founded in 1987 by Peter and Helen Meyer, the business was built on a passion for quality, design integrity, and a deep understanding of how window furnishings shape a space. Now led by their sons, Simon and Damien Meyer, the company remains firmly family-owned and family-driven, with a clear vision for the future.
Peter’s influence on the Australian industry is enduring — from hand-finished Cedar Venetians to the introduction of the Simply Natural woven blind range more than 30 years ago. His work helped define a more considered, design-led approach to window furnishings. Before Peter passed away, he worked closely with Simon and Damien on the evolution of the business and the transition from Blinds by Peter Meyer to Meyer Blinds. He was proud of the direction the company was heading and supportive of the Meyer name continuing — now in a way that more clearly reflects the business it has become.
Helen continues to work within the business today, providing continuity and a strong connection to the values on which Meyer Blinds was founded.
