Founded in 2009 by bassist Charles Winters, our on-demand services and shop specializes in the sale, restoration, instruction, and rental of upright basses, cellos, violas, and violins. Our client list ranges from great orchestral musicians to local public and private schools, individual students to world-renowned music performers and arts centers. We serve professionals, students, and amateurs, and pride ourselves on the care and attention we give each player and their instrument.

Besides providing a full range of luthier services, Miami String also sells antique and modern instruments, rents professional quality instruments, and maintains a full stock of bass, cello, viola, violin, and general music accessories. We also carry specialty products from many of our partners.

We believe in symphony design with the student in mind. High-quality, correct and easy instrument set-up is at the core of our company’s values. We want to be sure to provide a new or continuing musician with the best instrument and tools in order to be successful in their learning and in their future.

We want to provide all of our customers with a convenient service that does not require them to waste time hunting all over town or on the internet. We bring tools, supplies, rental instruments, and sale items directly to our customers and make sure they have the best options to make an educated choice. We will also provide a musical, in-home showroom to our customers that are looking to rent or buy an instrument or other items.
