Boutique expertise MVLA is a studio-based, small-corp landscape architecture practice with a dedicated team of 12 landscape architects and 1 administrative staff, emphasizing personalized client collaboration. This suggests opportunities in premium, hands-on projects where senior oversight and bespoke design processes are valued.

Legacy and credibility With a 1987 founding and ongoing involvement by founder Michael Vergason on projects, MVLA showcases steady leadership and deep project stewardship. Sales guidance should highlight continuity, trusted client relationships, and the ability to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes on complex sites.

Diverse portfolio Their work spans educational campuses, corporate sites, museums, memorials, UNESCO sites, parks, gardens, and private residences across the Mid-Atlantic and beyond. This breadth indicates potential for cross-selling services to different market segments and growth in multi-site master planning and cultural heritage projects.

Ecology and culture MVLA emphasizes ecological consciousness, site history, and cultural sensitivity in design. This positions them well for sustainability-focused programs, landscape renewal projects, and collaborations with institutions prioritizing green infrastructure and conservation.

Digital and brand presence The tech stack includes Squarespace, Squarespace Commerce, Open Graph, and Adobe Fonts, implying a modern, design-forward online presence but potential gaps in enterprise-grade marketing automation. There are sales opportunities to enhance lead generation, CRM integration, and targeted outreach to identify high-value clients.
