The Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) is a Michigan-based trade association for financial institutions, bringing together more than 2,300 branches with assets exceeding $150 billion. It acts as the official advocate for member banks in state legislation and regulation, pursuing laws beneficial to the industry and public while opposing measures that would limit banks' ability to serve customers; it also coordinates with the American Bankers Association on select federal issues. In addition to advocacy, the MBA offers professional development through a continuing program of seminars, conferences, banking schools, and an annual convention, and it provides member services via its subsidiary to support compliance, human resources, management, marketing, and financial literacy. 
The organization was founded in 1887 and is headquartered in Lansing, Michigan. It serves Michigan financial institutions by providing representation, education, and practical resources, including recognition programs such as the Banker of the Year in 2024 to highlight industry leadership.
