Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group is a small to mid-sized environmental services organization based in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1991, it coordinates boots-on-the-ground efforts to restore salmon habitats and support local communities. Project work includes removing barriers to fish passage, planting native trees to cool streams, and restoring beaches by removing bulkheads. The organization also operates education programs for residents of all ages. Across central Puget Sound, it has restored streams and beaches in three watersheds—the Green/Duwamish, Cedar/Lake Washington/Sammamish, and East Kitsap. It is one of 14 Regional Fisheries Enhancement Groups in Washington State, linking its work to a broader statewide conservation effort.
