Founded in the 1970s as a local buyer's club, it has grown to serve a broad base of more than five thousand member owners, providing high-quality products and a customer-focused environment. The cooperative emphasizes sustainable business practices, supports the local foods movement, and contributes to the community through donations to local food shelves and nonprofits and discounts for low-income shoppers.
