Middletown City Schools is a public school district in Middletown, Ohio, operating within the education administration sector. The district centers its work on curriculum improvement, instruction, and student support services, with subject-area courses reviewed by committees of teachers and administrators to guide revisions and incorporate modern instructional materials. It offers a range of teaching approaches and extracurricular activities intended to address diverse student needs, while staff participate in ongoing professional development through district programs and regional universities.

The district has earned local and state recognition for its programs and its graduates who move on to competitive colleges and postsecondary institutions. A 2003 bond issue financed the replacement or remodeling of all elementary facilities, resulting in eight elementary buildings for pre-school through fifth grade, two middle schools for grades six through eight, and Middletown High School for grades nine through twelve. In 2026 the district named G. Elgin Card as superintendent, with the transition planned for August.
