Midtown-Metro Achievement Centers is a mid-sized nonprofit based in Chicago that focuses on primary and secondary education for inner-city youth. It operates two programs—the Metro Achievement Center for girls and the Midtown Achievement Center for boys—providing a comprehensive mix of academic tutoring, character development, sports and arts, parental involvement, and ongoing mentoring for students in grades 3 through 12. The program also supports college preparation, scholarship opportunities, and career guidance delivered by professionals across the city. Since its founding in 1965, thousands of inner-city youths aged 8 to 18 have participated in Midtown and Metro after-school and summer programs. Alumni enter college at nearly five times the rate of their peers, and for more than 20 consecutive years, Midtown-Metro students have achieved a 100% high school graduation rate and college acceptance. In June 2023, Vince Meno was named Executive Director.
