Milanof-Schock Library serves the Mount Joy area in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, providing access to books, information, education, exploration, and opportunities for social interaction. Its official service area includes the municipalities of Marietta Borough, Mount Joy Borough, East Donegal Township, Mount Joy Township, and Rapho Township. The library traces its origins to 1962, when a Girl Scout troop project led to community library services, and it quickly moved from a storefront to meet growing demand. A new facility was opened in the early 1990s at 1184 Anderson Ferry Road in Mount Joy, supported by major donations from Anne Milanof and Clarence Schock, with the institution subsequently adopting the Milanof-Schock Library name. }{
