Milarex has grown to become one of the largest companies for value added salmon in the world with leading positions in Europe, the US, and several other overseas markets. The company was built from scratch with its first operations in 2016, founded by legendary salmon processing figure Mr. Jerzy Malek. Scandinavian investment company Summa Equity acquired a majority position in 2017 and the remaining shares in 2020. The headquarter is in Oslo, Norway. In 2019 the factory in Slupsk, Poland, was extended, adding a significant increase in the production capacity to meet the growing customer demand for the well-known Milarex salmon quality.
