Milwaukee Women inc is an organization of executives determined to change the quality and composition of corporate boards to enhance the performance of public and private companies, with a focus on women and women of color. The organization is a catalyst for change through its benchmarking research, education and advocacy, providing resources and programs that can help Wisconsin companies and organizations move the needle even further. MWi is committed to working with business leaders to increase diversity and to making Wisconsin an attractive environment in which to do business. Over the past 20 years, our annual research has shown a steady, but slow, upward trend in women on Wisconsin boards and a decline in companies with no female board members. The percentage of women on the boards of the top 50 Wisconsin public companies has increased from 9.3% in 2003 to 26.3% in 2022.
