The Ministry of Health (MOH) in Singapore is a government agency charged with managing the public healthcare system. It aims to deliver medical excellence, promote good health, and ensure access to affordable basic medical services for all Singaporeans, supported by subsidies and personal cost-sharing. MOH licenses and regulates hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and medical laboratories, and it oversees the public delivery system through three vertically integrated networks: NUHS, NHG, and SHS. Based in the Central Region of Singapore, the ministry operates within the government administration sector and serves the Singaporean population. In June 2026, MOH announced the development of a digital medical certificate system to curb abuse and forgery of sick-leave documentation.
