MnSEIA is a Minnesota-based trade association, based in St. Paul, organized as a 501(c)(6) that represents the solar and energy storage industries in the state. It brings together more than 160 member companies to support growth in solar and storage as part of Minnesota’s clean energy transition. The association pursues its goals through policy work, education, and sustainable industry development, and its advocacy engages with the Minnesota Legislature, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, and other state agencies. MnSEIA operates with a relatively small staff and serves as the organizing voice for the state's solar and storage communities.

In 2025 MnSEIA hosted the Gateway to Solar Conference, an event intended to unite solar and energy storage voices from across the Midwest. These activities illustrate MnSEIA’s role in representing industry interests and supporting Minnesota's clean energy transition through policy engagement and member collaboration.
