The Missional Wisdom Foundation, based in Southlake, Texas, supports clergy and laypeople in forming intentional communities and missional networks to help the church live out the gospel across diverse social contexts. It blends on-site learning with theological education through the Academy for Missional Wisdom, equipping participants to start and lead micro-communities focused on contemplative prayer and practical mission. The foundation also operates The Epworth Project, a network of monastic communities across North Texas and beyond, where small groups live under a rule of life and partner with neighbors to practice holistic evangelism. These communities are informally affiliated with United Methodist churches, which provide spiritual guidance and connection, and they bring together a diverse mix of participants, including seminary students and nonprofit workers.

In addition, the foundation provides financial and administrative support to the Academy for Missional Wisdom, a two-year non-degree program for laity and clergy that combines distance learning, immersion experiences, spiritual direction, retreats, and coaching to make education accessible for full-time workers. It also backs The People of New Day, a network of prayerful, hospitable communities anchored in mainline churches and oriented toward justice.
