The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is a state-level public safety organization based in Pearl, Mississippi, that coordinates disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts. Its mission is to save lives, protect property, and reduce suffering for Mississippi's citizens and communities affected by disasters through a comprehensive, integrated program. The agency is led by Executive Director Stephen McCraney, with Deputy Director Clayton French, and it functions as part of Mississippi's emergency management infrastructure.
