Missouri Alliance for Children & Families is a collaborative limited liability partnership in the field of Individual and Family Services, based in Jefferson City, Missouri. Founded in 1997 by a group of nonprofit agencies, it was created to develop a system of care for children with severe emotional and behavioral needs. In 1998, MACF became the sole provider for the Missouri Interdepartmental Initiative for Children with Severe Needs Contract, serving children at risk of long-term residential treatment or institutional placement. Today the organization maintains services such as smaller caseloads, weekly visits with youth, family finding and engagement, and targeted recruitment for foster homes to meet the needs of older youth, with an average age around 16. MACF operates as a limited liability partnership governed by five partner agencies—Cornerstones of Care, Every Child’s Hope, Great Circle, Missouri Baptist Children’s Home/Child and Family Ministries, and Presbyterian Children’s Homes and Services of Texas, Missouri and Louisiana—within the broader Individual and Family Services sector.
