The Moab Museum is a regional cultural institution in Moab, Utah, focused on preserving and interpreting the area’s geological, paleontological, and human history across the Colorado Plateau. It traces its origins to the late 1950s when local civic leaders formed a city museum, opening with private collections and attracting thousands of visitors in its first fourteen months. The current facility on Center Street was dedicated in 1988 as the Dan O’Laurie Museum of Moab, and governance shifted to a nonprofit board in 2007, after a series of name changes culminating in Moab Museum. 

The museum serves residents, visitors, and researchers seeking understanding of the region’s natural and cultural past, presenting artifacts and interpretation drawn from local history and archaeology. In 2025 it launched U92: Moab’s Uranium Legacy, an initiative that broadens the narrative to include uranium-related heritage within the Moab area.
