Mobile Air Climate Systems Association (MACS) is a not-for-profit trade organization focused on mobile vehicle climate control and thermal management. Founded in 1981 and based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, the association serves a global membership within the motor vehicle climate systems sector and is recognized for its role as a technical and regulatory reference point. Since 1991, MACS has helped service technicians comply with EPA's Section 609 requirements for refrigerant recovery and recycling, supporting environmental protection through industry practice. MACS provides technical training and compliance programs for mobile A/C and heat transfer, facilitates information exchange across regional, national, and international forums, and helps connect different parts of the industry. It also disseminates legislative and regulatory information and tracks developments affecting the sector, including advocacy to policymakers. In 2025 the association introduced a Technician Membership tier to broaden access to its resources.
