MOEBE is a Scandinavian design studio based in Copenhagen, founded by cabinetmaker Anders Thams and architects Nicholas Oldroyd and Martin D. Christensen. The studio designs and manufactures products that emphasize simplicity and clarity, aiming to reduce objects to their essentials while maintaining an analogue approach. Operating as a small to mid-sized team in the Hovedstaden region of Denmark, MOEBE blends craft with architectural sensibilities and draws on traditional design traditions while pursuing new discoveries. Among its product developments, MOEBE launched a modular, wall-mounted shelving system in 2021 designed to be configured in multiple ways and customized to individual spaces. The system is offered with several predefined configurations, with options for custom arrangements. Earlier, in 2019, the company released sixteen predefined standard sets that contributed to its shelving offerings.
