John W. Magie Enterprises Inc. started in business in 1982 as a Lawn Care Company. In 1985 we purchased another Lawn Care Company out of Harrison, Ohio that had been in business for 32 years. We did this to grow our business and expand our demographics as the area continued to grow and to review our options for future possibilities. We partnered with John Deere, Toro, and other engine manufacturers to become a Lawn & Garden Dealership in 1988. By 1990, 80% of our business was retail, parts, and service of lawn and garden equipment. We continued growth over the next 10 years. In 2000 we had a major road split our property in half. The new highway (Butler Regional Highway or Rt. 129) provided additional traffic and retail opportunities. In the Spring of 2003 we started building a new state of the art facility for our industry which was approximately 100 yards from our original farm type setting. On October 10, 2003 we opened our new facility and West Chester Lawn & Garden's offerings became exclusive to retail equipment sales, parts sales and the servicing of lawn and garden equipment, no longer providing lawn care services. It was built around increasing our efficiency to service our customers better. We continue to expand our services by providing At-Home-Service for our customers and selling Preferred Customer Maintenance Plans. We have partnered with other retail outlets to be a Service Partner to continue our growth and expertise by being a parts and service solution for our customers. In 2010, we expanded by adding a second location in Springboro, OH, which is also an Ace Hardware store and offers a greater variety of products. To include: paint; lawn and garden; tools; and virtually anything you'll ever need to fix, repair, and maintain your home. In 2015, we decided to change the name of our original store from West Chester Lawn & Garden to Moe’s Outdoor Equipment and Supplies to become synonymous with our second location in Springboro.
