MOL Petrolkémia Zrt. is a chemical manufacturing company based in Tiszaújváros, in the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén region of Hungary, operating as part of MOL’s Downstream division alongside Slovnaft’s petrochemical assets. At the Tiszaújváros site, it runs two steam-cracking units with ethylene and propylene capacities of 660 kt/year and 330 kt/year, respectively, and an extraction products slate that produces butadiene and MTBE. The company's five polymer plants contribute a combined capacity of 765 kt/year, giving it a substantial presence in Central Europe’s polymer market, with a 17% regional market share. It is noted as one of the North Hungary region’s largest employers, emphasizing long-term career opportunities, safety, and community involvement. 

The company traces its origins to 1953 as Tiszai Vegyi Kombinát, eventually coming under MOL ownership and becoming a full MOL subsidiary in 2015, and it now operates within MOL’s Downstream division alongside Slovnaft’s petrochemical assets. Looking ahead, MOL Petrolkémia is aligned with MOL Group’s long-term plan to expand the petrochemical value chain with substantial investments through 2030, including the inauguration of the Poliol Complex at Tiszaújváros, which adds 205 kt/year of polyol and 60 kt/year of propylene glycol capacity, while an Olefin Converting Unit is under construction to bolster feedstock security.
