Since 1995, MMRI has been exploring the molecular basis of chronic diseases and bridging the gap between science and medical practice through a unique two-part niche program: 1) The affiliate research program supports entrepreneurial scientists with promising, early stage innovative projects at the forefront of medical inquiry. 2) The Institute’s research program focuses on discovering therapeutic intervention points in cancer, autoimmune/ inflammatory disease, and fibrosis. Through innovation, collaboration, research, and analysis, both programs help further the understanding of disease pathways and support the development of novel treatments and therapeutics. Located in Sunnyvale, California, MMRI's extensive laboratory space and vibrant, diverse work environment enrich the quest for medical diagnostics and therapeutics and inspire an entrepreneurial and innovative spirit. The Institute provides medical researchers transitioning to company formation infrastructure, space, and access to fully equipped laboratories with minimal start-up costs. Research facilities include laboratory space that is fully equipped for cell biologic, immunologic, and molecular biologic experimentation as well as medicinal and analytical chemistry.
