In elementary schools across Massachusetts, Momenta partners with teams of educators to transform literacy instruction and close achievement gaps. Our coaches train and support teachers to make dramatic improvements in their practice. We empower principals with tools and expert coaching to master instructional leadership. Above all, Momenta puts students on a proven path to becoming strong readers and gives them the academic foundation to read and write successfully across the curriculum. Momenta partnerships foster a school culture where every child develops into an engaged, enthusiastic, confident student. Formerly the Bay State Reading Institute, Momenta is an educational non-profit that partners with Massachusetts elementary schools to ensure that all students excel in literacy. Through customized professional development in leadership, instruction, and data analysis, we help teams of administrators, teachers, and coaches transform their practice to accelerate student performance and close achievement gaps. Since 2005, Momenta has partnered with more than 100 Massachusetts public schools in 30 districts, including many with high concentrations of English Learners, students of color, and economically disadvantaged students.
