Monmouth Museum is a private, nonprofit institution in the museums sector that presents changing exhibitions in art, history, and science to educate and entertain while fostering lifelong learning and creative expression within a diverse community. Founded in 1963 following a needs assessment by the Junior League of Monmouth County, the museum established its permanent home in 1974 on the Brookdale Community College campus in Lincroft, New Jersey, and now operates on a two-acre site leased from the college. The organization serves a regional audience with an annual attendance exceeding 40,000, aiming to offer a destination for exploration and engagement across ideas and disciplines. In addition to its ongoing exhibitions, Monmouth Museum pursues community-focused programs and collaborations, such as partnerships and calls for emerging artists, and it plans to expand to a new Dunellen location with a grand opening scheduled for May 2, 2026.
