At the Montessori Academy of Chicago, we believe that learning is a journey. Our goal is to develop engaged and independent thinkers who embrace community responsibility and leadership. Our teachers strive to inspire a joy of learning, academic success, intellectual excitement, emotional well-being, and creativity in every student. It is with confidence, joy, compassion and leadership that Academy students venture forth on their unique journeys to make a difference in the world. Experienced, Montessori-certified teachers ensure each student’s success in a caring and structured environment. The Academy was established by Bill and Fosca White in 2005 in response to the lack of high-quality full-time childcare and educational options in the City of Chicago. The school opened in the West Loop with 43 students and now welcomes approximately 300 students to its facility on a daily basis. The leadership team at the Academy is committed to maintaining a staff of the finest Montessori teachers available. Offerings begin at the Infant level and run through Middle School. Our individualized curriculum and commitment to helping teach your child will lay the foundation for their success. This is a charge our founders, faculty and staff take very seriously. The Academy was the original full-time Montessori program in Chicago, and continues to be one of the only Montessori schools in the City serving children six weeks through three years of age on a full-time basis. The Academy is also the only Montessori school offering year-round education for children ages three to twelve. The programming, faculty and staff at the Academy are exceptional. The dedication to the curriculum and the students is unparallelled. The Academy meets the full needs of the child and its families.
