Moran Towing Corporation is a New Canaan, Connecticut-based provider in the transportation, logistics, and storage sectors, delivering ship docking, marine transportation, LNG activities, and towing services. Its tug fleet services the most ports of any operator in the United States and supports LNG terminals along the U.S. East and Gulf coasts and the west coast of Mexico. The Moran barge fleet serves the U.S. Gulf and Atlantic coasts, Puerto Rico, and inland waters of the eastern seaboard. The company operates three primary lines of business: ship docking, LNG activities, and general towing; marine transportation of petroleum and dry bulk; and contract and specialty towing, and it owns about 100 tugs and 30 barges with an ongoing program of advanced vessel construction, including Z-drive tugs and ATBs, and double-hull designs for its petroleum barges. Moran serves 17 ports with 24/7 operations and has experience in planning and executing large, complex projects, supported by regulatory standing and technical expertise; revenue is in the range of $250 million to $500 million.
