Morningside Academy, founded in 1980 by Dr. Kent Johnson, operates in the education administration sector in the United States. The organization comprises two primary components: a non-profit school serving elementary and middle school students and a teachers’ academy, both focused on instructional improvement. The school targets students who have not previously realized their potential due to learning differences such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADD/ADHD, while ensuring that these students are of average to well above-average intelligence and are not experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, or developmental issues. By focusing on students who can catch up and get ahead, the program aims to address gaps in early learning and bolster academic progress within a structured environment. The organization positions itself as a provider within the education administration landscape, emphasizing specialized support and professional development through its teacher-focused component. Based in Seattle and operating in the United States, Morningside Academy combines its two programs to support both student learning needs and teacher preparation in tandem.
