Mount Pisgah Christian School was founded in 1986 by Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church with a mission to provide an outstanding college-preparatory education grounded in Christian faith and values. The school opened with 70 preschool students and has rapidly grown and expanded. In 1996, construction began on a new Lower School to house the burgeoning student population and quickly grew to include a Middle and Upper School. MPCS now offers a premier preschool, both half- and full-day programs, as well as Junior Kindergarten through 12th grade. The Pathfinders after-school program has been added to serve area families seeking high-quality, educational and co-curricular experiences for their children. Mount Pisgah’s academic programs have grown substantially to include Honors and AP courses in all areas of core coursework and additional electives. Pisgah offers an exceptional Christian educational experience that encompasses all areas for the whole child. Academic life at Pisgah is rigorous and balanced, dedicated to the development of each child to his full potential. The school strives to accommodate students with varied abilities in an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance. A supportive community encourages each student’s awareness of self and others while emphasizing learning as a lifelong process. Today, nearly 30 years later, Mount Pisgah Christian School serves more than 1,000 students - preschool through 12th grade in Johns Creek, Roswell, Alpharetta, and throughout North Fulton county. The school continues to grow and a new upper school building, Geier Hall, opened in January 2015.
