Mountain Humane is Idaho's first no-kill animal shelter, and it has operated for more than three decades, based in Hailey, Idaho. The organization provides temporary shelter for homeless animals and facilitates adoptions to qualified families. It also works to reduce animal abuse, neglect, and overpopulation through community education and spay/neuter services.

As a non-profit in the animal-welfare sector, Mountain Humane aims to enrich local life by linking people and animals through programs with broader reach. A notable development in 2022 was a partnership with The Hunger Coalition to deliver thousands of pounds of pet food to families facing hardship, helping keep pets with their owners.
