Moventas is a renewable energy technology company headquartered in Jyväskylä, Central Finland, with more than four decades of wind turbine gearbox design, manufacturing, and multibrand service experience. Building on the heritage of Metso Drives and Valmet, which produced industrial gearboxes since the 1940s, Moventas was among the early adopters of applying gearbox expertise to wind turbines. The company operates globally through eight subsidiaries and provides high-tech products, parts, and multibrand services to wind turbine manufacturers, asset owners, and independent service providers. As part of the wind energy sector, Moventas functions as a specialized gearbox designer and service partner across the wind turbine ecosystem. In February 2025, Moventas Gears Australia Pty expanded its facilities to Faribault, Minnesota, United States, with plans to establish a factory and hire around 100 people.
