Large yacht management company. MTS Yachts is a partnership of professional Captains and Engineers, who have had a lifetime of marine experience. The company specializes in keeping up to date with, and influencing the regulations and safety requirements of the larger yachts. The company works closely with government Flag Administrations, insurance underwriters, and acts as expert witnesses, surveyors and investigators. The underlying business of the company is to assist in the management of yachts for their owners and there captains. This service is tailored to the specific needs of the owner, the captain and the operational requirements of the yacht. As the office is manned by professionals with extensive experience in the operating, construction, manning and chartering of yachts, we can greatly assist the Owner and Captain by taking on much of the routine administration. By acting as a shore based support office, we can assist the Captain with many of the tasks that become extremely difficult once the vessel leaves its main port. These include obtaining and shipping spare parts, arranging travel, providing vetting for crew replacement, forwarding-on official and personal mail, arranging berthing, keeping track of regulatory licenses and inspections, assisting with all engineering problems, and preparing for refits. The safety of those on the yacht, especially if it is chartering, is paramount and a Safety Management System (SMS) can be installed to ensure that, should an unfortunate accident occur, there is ample proof that the yacht and owner did not negligent in safety matters. This SMS covers training of the crew, safety of guests, maintenance of safety equipment, emergency drills and exercises, and preparation for emergencies.
