Multiple Sclerosis Ireland is the sole national organization in Ireland providing information, support, and advocacy for people with MS, their families, carers, health professionals, and others interested in the condition. It operates on a membership basis and maintains activities across every county in Ireland, serving more than 10,000 people and families affected by MS. The organization is based in Dublin and is positioned as a mid-sized not-for-profit within the health and social services landscape.

Its services span practical and emotional support, including individual and family assistance, living-with-MS programs, confidential counselling, and a network of voluntary branches, alongside an MS Information Line and digital resources. It also conducts advocacy, supports research, and arranges national conferences, seminars, and training days, complemented by publications and a news magazine to share information. A recent development is the launch of the 37th MS Readathon, a nationwide fundraising and awareness initiative scheduled for November 1 to December 15, 2024.
