Mulungushi University is a public higher education institution located in Kabwe, in Zambia's Central Province. It operates three campuses: the Great North Road Campus, situated about 26 kilometers north of Kabwe along the Mulungushi River; the Kabwe Town Campus on Mubanga Road in central Kabwe; and the Livingstone Medical School housed at Livingstone General Hospital in Livingstone City. The university serves a broad academic community by offering higher education and professional training across its campuses. 

As one of Zambia's three public universities, MU is part of the national public higher education sector with a network that spans Kabwe and Livingstone. In 2020, MTN Group and MTN Zambia announced partnerships that included Mulungushi University, alongside other universities, to provide free access to certain digital services, illustrating collaboration with telecommunications providers to expand student access.
