Munich International School e.V. is an independent, non-profit institution delivering primary and secondary education in Starnberg, Bavaria. Founded in 1966 as Munich's first international school, MIS operates on a single 26-acre campus and serves students from 65 nationalities. It is an International Baccalaureate World School authorised since 1980, recognized by the Bavarian ministry of education, and fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
