MUSIC Matters is a student-run non-profit based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, that uses music to connect people across cultures and backgrounds. It was founded in 2011 by ten University of Michigan students to address a desire for unity on campus through musical programming. The organization creates educational opportunities and celebrates the Michigan community by hosting a capstone event for the UM community. The centerpiece of that event is SpringFest, a festival designed to promote innovation, creativity, and community, ending with a benefit concert headlined by a major artist, with a philanthropic cause chosen by MUSIC Matters members.

Recent activity includes Harvestfest in 2023, SpringFest in 2022, and collaborations such as NOW TALKS with Maas in 2022, reflecting ongoing campus engagement. The organization also launched the CoMMunity Partnership in fall 2017 to support University of Michigan student organizations selected at Pitchfest.
